Broken House

He’s lying down on the floor

Not blinking not feeling

There’s a hole on the door

He seems to be missing something

The clock’s not ticking

His heart not beating, apparently

A tear fell down from his eye

It wets the floor dusty and dry

A woman is screaming behind the wall

A child is crying and begging for forgiveness

The TV is where the static is coming from

Darkness keeps growing in this broken,

broken house

This will never end, it seems

Even after he’s dead

But time keeps going for the living

As he finally walks away
